Please check with your nearest Simply Helping office if this service is available in your area.

If you are thinking about leaving your precious child in the care of someone else for the first time, it’s normal to feel anxious. Finding the best care for your child can be difficult and even more worrying if your child has special needs.

Most parents experience these feelings at some point, regardless of the child’s age, which is why our staff and carers are always very understanding, supportive and reassuring.

We appreciate that every child is unique with a personality of their own, and each family will have special requirements. We expect that your child and your family will be no different and look forward to learning all those important details so that we can provide the best care possible.

How do our babysitters and carers go about building a trusting relationship?

  • By discussing and learning about your child’s usual routine. This ensures that planned activities are as normal as possible, and helps your child to feel relaxed and comfortable from day one.
  • Checking what activities are allowed and not allowed, as well as understanding your child’s preferences, supports a fun and safe experience.
  • Encouraging your child’s development through interesting activities that they are comfortable with, promotes learning and growth.
  • Understanding what helps your child if they become anxious.
  • Reassuring parents that we will not hesitate to call if there are any concerns or questions.
  • Understanding details of food allergies, medication dosage and times, and sleep times.
  • Having all emergency contact details at hand, in case they are needed.
